Highlights
- Clarkdale is a unique example of a "company" mining town. It was planned, owned and developed by Wm Andrews Clark.
- Senator Clark bought the United Verde Copper mine in Jerome, AZ, in 1888 after failed mining efforts of others.
- By 1912 a new smelter for the mining operation was needed; construction began next door in Clarkdale.
- Join us today on a journey through the culture and history of Clarkdale, a uniquely preserved company mining town.
